GROUPS

Indigenous peoples have always known - winter is the season of going inward, storytelling, expressing creativity. "At the center of Earth is "art." "Earth' without 'art' is just 'eh'." so says Dr. Theresa Sweeney, ecoArt-therapist. I am doing one group this Winter, entitled Intentional Elders! Also if you'd like me to come address your group to assist with cooperative cooperation amongst your team or for therapeutic reasoning behind Artist Way or "Tendralling," an old concept I'm bringing back to life, perhaps ideas on how to utilize EcoTherapy, my talk on "Too Many Screens", perhaps "Concepts of Ecopsychology" or my "Care for the Caregiver" presentation, please, feel free to contact me.
"We may not be only our stories, but we also are
our stories. If we stay connected to the fact that our story
has both a localized and a universal dimension, we are
on the right path." Jeff Brown

Intentional Elders:
I am happy to report Winter of 2019 is shaping up nicely. This year I reached my 65th year, and to my great joy and relief, ran across a process that not only teaches how to transition the life I want but also helps to wire my brain into more logical ways to move into the next steps. My thoughts had been, "I don't want to simply collapse into retirement." Instead, I want to decide how I really want to joyfully use these years; playfully, curiously and with intention. This six week workshop will begin on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m., on January 9th and will move us into the beginning of March. It will break us out into the Spring of 2020. This is about who we have been, who we are now and what direction we want to take to utilize those now sacred stories. Trust me, nothing is wasted, whether you want to work on upcoming vocational strategies, move toward a lighter load of semi-retirement or into full retirement. This is not about mastering your money, although it could be. This is completely up to you.
Testimony:
Collective Home Care's Clinical Director, Mary Whiston, R.N.: "Karen's presentation on "Healing Through Nature" was attended by 30 aides. She presented with a gentle intuitive persona and obviously very deep connection to nature and the divine, expressing how humankind and nature are undeniably connected, closing with a beautiful and soulful song which moved staff incredibly."
