Welcome!
My interactive approach, works well with mental health issues and addictions as well as life adjustments. Addictions have a way of avoiding difficult feelings which can make it harder to honor normal responsibilities. I provide a safe environment and healthy tools to help you explore the areas that concern you most. I serve ages 21 and up in individual and group settings.
Whether you are new to therapy, need to maintain supports for familiar issues, or are dealing with unexpected difficulties; claiming your own personal energy style and preferences can help you to perform either new or familiar tasks with more gentle and balanced approaches. Perhaps you'd like to explore new or more positive ways of being in the world and are ready to try new coping strategies that provide greater life satisfaction.
If life transitions are requiring you to look at the world in new ways, this can be both exciting and challenging. For baby boomers now dealing with aging, transitioning parents or coming to terms with mortality or retirement, you may well be facing needs to honor personal values and your authenticity while there's still time. Whatever your age, sometimes the unexpected; such as losses, medical issues or even new family members will create shifts and change areas you wish to engage in. I can help you clairify and identify the right supports. Having someone else to talk to is often just what is needed to squarely face life's challenges.
Based on each client's need and learning style, occasional homework may be assigned. Counseling services are covered by most insurances. Self pay is available if preferred.
Telephone Contact: (413) 658-7514.
